La noche del 23 de abril se entregaron los Golden Gods Awards 2014 en un gran día lleno de energía y donde sucedieron varias sorpresas. La banda que más se llevó premios fueron los norteamericanos de Avenged Sevenfold con tres premios.
Muchas sorpresas hubo esa noche, una de las más gratas fue el estreno del tema “Implode” de la banda Slayer. También la actuación del nuevo vocalista de Suicide Silence Eddie Hermida, dejó atónitos a los expectantes por su calidad. Zakk Wylde hizo un pequeño homenaje a los héroes caídos en los últimos 10 años con la canción “In this River”, provocando muchas lágrimas a los asistentes. Para finalizar la noche, Nicolas Cage presentó el premio “Ronnie James Dio Lifetime Archievement Award” por su trayectoria a Axl Rose quien cerraría la noche con una gran presentación de Guns N´ Roses.
